Celebrate Spring ‘25 with unforgettable new creations from choreographer Mark Caserta, 2023 Princess Grace Award Winner; Lauren Edson, Artistic Director and Co-Founder of LED; and Whim W’Him’s own Olivier Wevers.

Twice a year, VCA is thrilled to offer dance programs by award-winning Seattle-based contemporary dance company Whim W’Him. Since 2009, Whim W’Him has showcased innovative collaborations with regional and global dance artists. As a principal dancer with both the Royal Winnipeg Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet, Artistic Director Olivier Wevers saw how imaginative storytelling and movement exploration can imbue a sense of curiosity and wonder into dance. These qualities are in every program Whim W’Him brings to VCA.

Land Acknowledgment
Vashon Island is the traditional homeland of the sx̌ʷəbabš (pronounced Schwa-ah-babsh) people, a once thriving Native community decimated by colonization. VCA is committed to stewarding this land, fostering creativity, and honoring indigenous culture through the arts.

Diversity and Inclusion
We celebrate diversity in all aspects of the work we do and support an environment of inclusion, racial equity, and social justice in our programming and operations. We welcome all individuals to our campus and steward them with respect and dignity. We hold our patrons and all affiliates to the same standard: our home is a center for all, regardless of race, place of origin, sex, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, or class.
