Vashon Center for Dance is proud to support and cultivate dance makers through our Original Works program. This production brings together seasoned and emerging professional choreographers from across the region, as well as VCD's advanced students, to present new works in a variety of dance styles. Our Original Works contributors have gone on to choreograph for professional dance companies. Don't miss the opportunity to experience their innovative creations!!

Please note that the Saturday matinee is a "Sensory Friendly" performance, great for seniors and little ones:

-Increased lighting in the seating area and house throughout the performance
-Lower sound levels
-Smaller audience to allow for more space and movement between patrons
-The use of tablets and other electronic devices can be used with headphones during the performance
-Options to bring in and use special seating devices as needed
-Fidget toys are welcome

Land Acknowledgment
Vashon Island is the traditional homeland of the sx̌ʷəbabš (pronounced Schwa-ah-babsh) people, a once thriving Native community decimated by colonization. VCA is committed to stewarding this land, fostering creativity, and honoring indigenous culture through the arts.

Diversity and Inclusion
We celebrate diversity in all aspects of the work we do and support an environment of inclusion, racial equity, and social justice in our programming and operations. We welcome all individuals to our campus and steward them with respect and dignity. We hold our patrons and all affiliates to the same standard: our home is a center for all, regardless of race, place of origin, sex, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, or class.
