Come cheer on our cast of musical theatre students as they bring Newsies, Jr to life onstage! Fun for the whole family!

Disney’s Newsies JR. is a 60 minute musical based on the 1992 movie and 2012 Broadway musical Newsies. It tells the story of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy in New York City at the turn of the century who leads a group of newsies in a strike against newspaper publishers who raise prices at their expense. The musical includes the classic songs “Carrying the Banner,” “Seize the Day,” and “Santa Fe,” and is inspired by the real-life Newsboy Strike of 1899, when newsboy Kid Blink led a band of orphan and runaway newsies on a two-week-long action against Pulitzer, Hearst, and other news magnates.

Please note that the Saturday matinee is a "Sensory Friendly" performance, great for seniors and little ones:
-Increased lighting in the seating area and house throughout the performance
-Lower sound levels
-Smaller audience to allow for more space and movement between patrons
-The use of tablets and other electronic devices can be used with headphones during the performance
-Options to bring in and use special seating devices as needed
-Fidget toys are welcome
