Vashon Island Chorale | Candlelight Carols

Vashon Island Chorale | Candlelight Carols

Sat Dec 14 - Sun Dec 15 2024

December 14, 2024 - December 15, 2024
The Vashon Island Chorale celebrates Christmas with two great composers of sacred music: Johann Sebastian Bach and Sir John Rutter. Bach penned hundreds of church cantatas, of which the Chorale will sing selections of four written for the Christmas season. Rutter's name is virtually synonymous with Christmas carols: both original compositions and arrangements of popular favorites. Dr. Gary D. Cannon conducts with Linda Lee at the piano. Members of the Vashon Maury Chamber Orchestra will also be on stage and the McMurray Middle School Choir will join in the music making. Expect sing alongs!

Don't miss this festive occasion of seasonal music old and new!
